At Füd for Güd we center the working class, immigrant families that have built up neighborhoods across New York City. Each stop on the tour is chosen because of its contribution to the local neighborhood’s cultural and economic growth. Our tours are also tactile – there will be moments for you to understand the neighborhood in a hands-on way. Ever touched an edible cactus leaf? Ever smelled freshly ground masala? Ever admired the intricate beading of a wedding saree? It’s not just about the food but all of the things that make up the cultures of each neighborhood. Come take a walk with us and experience it all!

Yes! Our tours are offered by Nikita who is a real New Yorker who grew up in Queens. Since we want to ensure an authentic experience, we make stops at some shops that you may not even notice if you didn’t know to look. That means you’ll be interacting with real New Yorkers who don’t mince their words or apologize for what they do. We encourage you all to read the Community Agreements before you begin a tour so you know what is cool and what just straight up ain’t.

Each tour includes a sampling of street food items, traditional cultural dishes, and dessert options. We also include opportunities for guests to shop at markets and vendors just like the locals do. All food and soft drinks are included in the ticket price. Alcohol is not included in any tour. We encourage guests of the legal drinking age to visit local bars and lounges after the tour has ended.

Not just food! Füd for Güd Tours center working class, immigrant families that have started restaurants as well as markets, galleries, retail stores, bars, lounges, dispensaries and more. Food does not live in a vacuum from culture so our tours include everything from those cultures too!

We have a Bushwick Tour in Brooklyn that covers the history of Knickerbocker Ave. We also have a Little Guyana Tour in Queens that covers the history of Liberty Ave.

Each tour is 3 hours long.

The Bushwick Tour is 0.5 miles and the Little Guyana Tour is 0.6 miles. This does not include the distance it takes to walk back to the nearest subway or bus stop if you are taking public transportation after the tour.

The Little Guyana Tour is fully accessible by wheelchair and other mobility devices. The Bushwick Tour is not accessible for wheelchairs but can accommodate other mobility devices such as canes and walkers. Your tour guide will accommodate slower walking speeds needed for guests.

There is street parking available for both tours. We encourage guests to arrive at least 20 minutes early to find parking.

All tours begin promptly at 1pm EST. There will be an introduction and historical grounding before moving to the first location at 1:10pm. If you arrive later than 1:10pm the tour guide will not be able to accommodate your reservation.

Children and youth ages 10 and above are welcome to join the tours with a standard ticket. At this time we cannot accommodate infants and children below the age of 10.

We cannot accommodate all dietary restrictions and preferences. Some dishes included in the tour are vegetarian and vegan but not all are. Cultural foods for some include ingredients others may not be able to eat. Not all of the restaurants included serve Halal or Kosher meat. We understand that this may not be the right tour for you if you have multiple food restrictions and allergies.

Each tour costs $125 per person.

Tip is not included or expected. If you really love the tour we would be happy to accept a tip. We also encourage you to leave us a positive review on Google.

Food tours run rain or shine. Guests will receive a full refund in case of tour guide cancellation due to severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

There are no exchanges or credits on ticket purchases. Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the start of the scheduled tour will be refunded.
