Tours

At Füd for Güd we center the working class, immigrant families that have built up neighborhoods across New York City.

Every stop is hands-on and chosen for what it gives back to the neighborhood. You’ll eat well, hear the history, and meet the people behind the food.

Little Guyana Food Tour

Saturdays in Little Guyana are filled with the sounds of chutney songs blasting through car stereos, the smells of masala hitting hot oil in the karahi, and the taste of fresh coconut water sold from street markets along the ave.

We’ll start at a Guyanese spot that has been taking social media by storm with their street food staples, tour a local market to understand how to master Caribbean flavors in your cooking, experience the fusion fare of Chinese cooking in the Caribbean, lose ourselves in the colors of cultural clothing, and end with a home style food experience from a family that’s been serving the community for over 35 years.

Bushwick Food Tour

Sundays in Bushwick are spent people watching church folks dressed in their Sunday Best, shopping at local markets for imported ingredients, and chillin’ at the park with a piragua in hand.

We’ll begin at a Puerto Rican hot spot for street food and Borinquen favorites, enjoy a real New York slice made by an Italian-American legacy, learn about the delicacies of the Central Americans who dominate the volleyball courts at Maria Hernandez Park, tantalize our tongues with desserts made by the same family since the ‘60s, and pay homage to the artists that built Bushwick up before gentrification by hearing from a local artist that has been using the hood as an inspiration for decades.
